Privacy Policy

Payday Buckets is designed to keep your budgeting information private. This policy explains what information the app stores, what information may be collected when you contact support, and how that information is used.

Information stored by the app

Payday Buckets stores your budget data on your device by default. This includes buckets, transactions, payday plans, scheduled transactions, pay schedule settings, reminders, app settings, backups, exports, and widget snapshots.

The app does not require a bank login, does not connect to your financial institution, and does not send your budget records to a budgeting server. Your budget data is not used for advertising, tracking, analytics, or profiling.

iCloud sync

Payday Buckets syncs app data through Apple's CloudKit service using your iCloud account. We do not receive a copy of your synced budget data through the support website.

Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. If you disable iCloud, the app continues to work with local data on that device.

Backups and exports

Payday Buckets can create backups and CSV exports when you choose to make them. These files are under your control after export. Backups may contain your budget data in readable form, so store and share them only somewhere you trust.

We can only see a backup, export, screenshot, or other budget detail if you deliberately send it in a support request, email, TestFlight feedback, or another message.

Support requests

When you submit a support request through the app or support website, the details needed to respond are stored. This may include:

• your name, if provided
• your email address
• the support category, subject, and message
• app version and build number
• device model and operating system version
• messages in the private support conversation

Support information is used to reply to you, investigate bugs, improve Payday Buckets, and keep a record of the conversation. Support emails may be sent through an email service provider.

Feature requests and voting

When you submit a feature request, the title, description, optional name, and optional email address you provide are stored. Feature requests are reviewed before they appear publicly. If a request is published, the public page may show the request title, description, status, vote count, and submitted name. Email addresses are not shown publicly.

If feature request voting is available, a hashed voting token may be stored so duplicate votes can be limited without storing the raw token.

App Store purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Payday Buckets may check App Store entitlement information so the app can unlock the features you purchased.

Website and operational data

The support website may process basic technical information that web services normally receive, such as IP address, browser details, request time, and rate-limit activity. This information is used to operate the website, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and keep support and feature request forms working.

Sharing

Your personal information is not sold. Information is shared only when needed to operate Payday Buckets and its support pages, such as with hosting, database, email, App Store, and iCloud service providers, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Budget data stored in Payday Buckets remains on your device or in your iCloud account until you delete it, reset the app, remove the app, delete exported files, or manage it through Apple's iCloud controls.

Support requests and feature requests are kept for as long as needed to provide support, manage the product roadmap, maintain business records, and protect the service from abuse. You can ask for personal information you submitted through the support website to be deleted or updated.

Children's privacy

Payday Buckets is not directed to children. Do not submit support or feature request information if you are not old enough to provide it under the laws that apply to you.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Payday Buckets or related service providers change. The page's "Last updated" date shows when the current version was published.
